SmartSaathi ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use SmartSaathi:

Email address — required to create your account and send login access
Phone number — used to verify your identity and secure your account (KSA and GCC numbers supported)
Payment information — processed entirely by Paddle. We do not store your card details
Purchase records — which products you have purchased and when
Usage data — basic information about how you use the tool, stored locally on your device

We do not collect your salary figures, savings amounts, or any financial data you enter into the tool. All tool data is stored locally on your device only.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Create and manage your account
Send you login access after purchase
Verify your identity via phone number
Confirm payment and grant product access
Send important account updates if needed
Prevent unauthorized sharing of accounts

We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We do not use your information for advertising.

3. Data Storage

Your account data (email, phone, purchase records) is stored securely in Supabase — a US-based database provider with enterprise-grade security. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

Financial data you enter into the tool (salary, savings, goals) is stored locally on your device using browser storage. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to our servers.

4. Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Paddle.com. When you make a purchase, you share your payment details directly with Paddle — not with us. Paddle's privacy policy applies to payment data: paddle.com/legal/privacy.

5. Email Communications

We use Resend to send transactional emails — login links and purchase confirmations. We do not send marketing emails without your consent. You can contact us to stop receiving any communications.

6. Cookies

We use minimal cookies only for keeping you logged in (session management). We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Request a copy of the data we hold about you
Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Update your email or phone number by contacting us

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
